My Dear Haeckel
I had hoped to be on my way to Jena by this time, but I find my work here will not allow me to leave at present: I have some volumes coming out and I must finish them off before I leave. I would like however || that Mr Dreyer should go on making out complete lists of the Radiolarians from about 20 stations.
I have been trying to make an analysis of the information in your Report with reference to distribution: I send you to-day the lists we have made out in doing this: they will be useful to Mr. Dreyer in drawing up his lists. || The stations you suggest will do very well and perhaps he had better proceed with them in the first instance. I will consult with him when I get the Jena about other stations.
Should you wish anymore of the material from any of the stations in making up the lists let me know and I will send what you require. I will || likely be to see you before Xmas, but I will write to you when I know the time I can leave here
